Many reasons combine to make purchasing realty in the Cayman Islands a safe and predictable investment. In no picky order, here are the main reasons the real estate industry thrives in these stunning islands.

Location of The Cayman Islands

Location is often mentioned as the main determining factor in the value of a specific property. The same theory generally applies when considering the Cayman Islands. Located in the middle of the serene, lush blue Caribbean Sea, the Cayman Islands boast a temperate climate that seldom sees temperatures rise above 89 F or below 68 F. The privacy in the Caribbean and its lack of mountain river run-off help retain crystal clear waters near shore making for some of the best scuba diving in the world. Adding tropical plant life, gorgeous white sand beaches, and a brief flying distance from the United States of America to the formula and it's easy to see why these splendid Islands are seen as cloud nine to many of our visitors.

Minimal Tax Regulations in Cayman Islands

The Caymans impose very few forms of taxation upon its individuals. This holds true for its overseas investors as well. With regard to realty ownership, the Cayman Islands assess no regular property taxes or capital gains taxes. There is also no tax due to the Cayman Islands government for other income derived from real estate investment such as rent or dividends.

Political Stability in Cayman

Many British Overseas Territories in the Caribbean rushed into independence in the years after The Second World War, often with counterproductive results. Not here in the Cayman Islands, where they have happily remained under the rule and protection of the UK. Caymanians largely govern themselves, but within a tried and true framework developed by the UK. Moreover, the Caymanian Government is keenly aware of the country's position as a financial and investment centre, and the requisite of remaining stable in investors' eyes.

Sophisticated and Reliable Infrastructure in The Cayman Islands in the Caribbean

Gone are the days of dusty dirt roads, dubious electrical service, cistern water and frozen milk. One of the greatest improvements over the past decades  to these islands has been to its infrastructure. All public roads are now paved and desalinated water is piped directly into homes almost island-wide. Communications systems are now modern, offering clear phone connections with no waiting, internet service and even Satellite television. The improvement of the port facilities has helped larger and better ships bring a large variety of durable and perishable goods to the islands. The new airport terminal was built in 1984 to accommodate more passengers, and has undergone various upgrades since. More improvements are under consideration now that the number of flights arriving here has increased. The rebuilding of the government hospital and the opening of a private hospital has helped significantly improve the quality of medical treatment in Cayman.

Clean and Safe Environment in Cayman Islands

With no heavy industry Cayman sports some of the freshest air you will ever breathe. Tight regulations on sewage disposal help keep the ocean water vivid and unpolluted.Cayman has no problems with venomous or dangerous creatures, and is one of the few rabies-free places in the world. Now that the mosquito problem is held largely in check, the tropical diseases that plague other Caribbean destinations are virtually non-existent. The injections and pills for these diseases are not mandatory by visitors to the Cayman Islands.
