When Choosing An Effective Brand

Table tents are very popular collaterals used by many service-oriented businesses. They are commonly seen at trade shows, at the reception's desk at the dentist's, and even the checkout counters in your local grocer. They are often employed by restaurants and hotels to promote their promos, special discounts, and events. Table tent printing is a colorful way to show off a hotel's free welcome drinks, or a restaurant's special dinner for Valentine's Day.

Although they may come in different shapes and sizes, almost all table tent printing has one thing in common - table tents promote your brand. And many times, the key to printing table tents that are effective collaterals is to have a brand that will reflect the kind of service you can provide your target clients.

As much as your table tents represent your offer and reflects your company's personality, the brand you have is your calling card. In fact, your brand is your ticket to getting a positive impression, hence, greater impact for your table tent printing.

So what should you consider when choosing your brand name? Determine whether your own brand name fits the following characteristics:

It's easy to remember. If your target clients can remember your name then you're almost halfway to getting your target clients to recognize your message.

Don't be trapped with a name that is just too hard to memorize, or even too complex that your customer has to struggle to say it. Often, the companies that have shorter and easy-to-remember names are the ones that stay in business for a very long time. Case in point: Nike and Google.

It's unique. It doesn't sound just like everyone else's. If you're thinking of going generic, stop. You wouldn't want to be lumped together with the rest of your competitors just because your target clients find your names as related to each other. If you want to be remembered, you got to have a unique and distinct brand name for your business.

It fits the company. Fish & Co. definitely would not work well if you're business is into chicken. And Sunshine would definitely be a turn off if you're in the funeral business. This just means that your brand name should be able to give some idea of what you do.

It fits your brand image. Your name should fit your overall image that you would want portrayed in all your collaterals, even in your table tents. You wouldn't want to come out funny in your brand name if you want a sophisticated image. Similarly, a serious name would not be appropriate for a company that promotes hip and fun in their products and services.

Lastly, it's not misleading. You would definitely want to avoid brand names that confuse your target clients from what you do exactly. You need to have your target clients understand what you do so they can make an informed decision when they finally decide to deal with you.
