What we do on a daily basis does make a difference in our environment.  One person can't do it alone, but if enough people make conscious decisions to do their part, our planet will be saved.

We must all participate in the conservation of our planet.  It is our responsibility to preserve our earth.  The amount of production and the amount of waste increases exponentially as our population rises.

Some people may feel that "going green" is a total change of lifestyle.  That is simply not true. "Going Green" is just about creating new and simple habits.  It does not require an initial investment. In fact, it will save you money.  We must ALL consciously make the decision to live a bit greener.

There are many simple things we can do to help preserve our earth.

  • Use washcloths instead of paper towels.
  • Stop using plastic kitchenware
  • Begin using eco-friendly products such as vinegar, baking soda and lemon juice for cleaning up around the house.
  • Be conscious about the amount of packaging, purchase in bulk
  • Run your washing machine using cold water
  • If you wash dishes by hand, turn off the faucet while you're soaping. Be careful with the amount of water you're using.
  • When you use the dishwasher make sure it is filled to its maximum capacity.
  • Maintain faucet closed while brushing teeth.
  • Maintain your AC at a comfortable 75 degrees while at home and increase temperature to 78 when leaving the house.
  • Turn off the lights in the rooms when not in use
  • Use reusable shopping bags instead of paper of plastic
  • Use the front and back of paper before recycling
  • Take your own coffee mug to the office or the coffee house
