London: the world in one city.

With almost 8 millions inhabitants, London is the biggest European city and one of the most vibrant, dynamic and cosmopolitan cities of the world. Large communities from South Asia, Africa and Caribbean, as well as from China, Turkey and Europe make London a diverse and tolerant place, where 40% of the total population is from an ethnic minority group. You can find this cultural diversity in every part of London. Restaurants with delicious ethnic specialities, national cultural institutes, cinemas in original languages, festivals, events, museums and exhibitions show the energic and young soul of diverse London communities.

The English language: a communication tool.

Although they have different religions, languages and customs, all ethnic groups overcome communication problems thanks to English. It is the most common language in the world, used as an official language in many international organisations. English is the key to get to know people from other countries, learn their way of thinking and living, build fullfilling friendships and travel all around the world. Understanding and speaking English is a prime requirement in the working world.

London: the learning and working hub.

London is the best place to learn English. There are several schools for foreigners to study English and they offer general, business or academic courses throughout the year to satisfy all needs. You can study in London during summer holidays, by booking an all-inclusive package of teaching, sports, social activities and excursions. Many schools encourage you to practise your linguistic skills in internships, work experiences and placements in the industry you are interested in. A great opportunity to gain valuable experience, get to know London and meet new interesting people.

London is not only a place to study and work in. It is an eclectic metropolis where the ancient merges with the new, tradition meets modernity. Important museums of ancient and modern history and art, such as Tate Britain, British Museum or National Gallery cohabit with the Tate Modern's extravagance. Neo-gothic Big Ben lives with post-modern skyscrapers. Music and performing arts range from classic ballets at the Royal Opera House to contemporary and experimental performances at Barbican Theatre.

Whether you need to improve your knowledge in a General English course or prepare yourself for an academic exam, you wish to boost your CV with valuable work experience or look forward to visiting a city of culture and history, London is the place for you.
