Most people believe that there is only a certain limited amount we can do to increase our mental performance. However, this could not be further from the truth. Mental performance can and will increase, if we firstly take the steps to understand how it can do so.

One of the keys to increasing mental performance lies in our subconscious minds. This is the mind which is behind our conscious and daily activities. What most people do not realise is that the subconscious mind is always at work, and therefore respecting its properties and living our lives in accordance with it, will lead to drastic changes in our mental performance.

So how exactly do we respect the subconscious mind? The answer is in sleep. You see, we sleep for approximately one third of our whole lives, so it is a massive area of influence in our lives. The next step is to go to sleep with a mind which is completely calm and relaxed. By this, i mean a mind which is free of thoughts and in a state of complete silence. The secret here, is that the way you fall asleep, is the exact way that you will wake up. Therefore, if we create mental silence, the silence continues throughout our while nights sleep, and creates a mind which is sharp, clear and focused in the morning.

The final step to increase your mental performance easily, is to wake up straight away and act towards our goals when you have received adequate sleep. The best and easiest way to measure this of course, is through an alarm clock. The effect of this is that your subconscious mind will reinforce and cement your state of mind when waking. If we act straight away, we will end up acting throughout the whole day. We therefore have the correct use of our subconscious mind to further our goals.

The result from these simple steps will be an increased memory, concentration, focus, problem solving ability and everything else associated with increased mental performance.
