Okay so over the last couple days I have been testing the Facebook Ads platform with 3 different offers, one offer being ringtones and the other 2 different health offers. I have learned a little bit about their ad platform , some of the things I learned are it is a great place if your looking to Brand your business as you can get alot of cheap impressions because the click thru rates are really low. Being that the clickthru is so low it is a bit tougher for affiliate marketers advertising offers in which you need those clicks, so you need a real powerful picture (preferably dark in colour to stand out on Facebooks white background) and you also need a very powerful Title and Text ad.

I guess depending on the offer you are promoting you need to target your demographic really well and the odds are you will need to put your bids up to get the offer running, once running you can try lowering the bid to see if it maintains impressions. I think if you are marketing an offer that could apply to just about everyone, and you don't add keywords you can get some cheap impressions. The reason Facebook Ads are great for Branding your business is if you place your bid very low you are definetely going to get impressions and probably no clickthru's, but when your marketing offers you depend on those clickthru's because your being paid for cost per action.

One thing I see Facebook needs to improve on is the targeting of ads, I was browsing around groups and was seeing the Google Money Tree on groups pertaining to just about everything from Miley Cyrus, Sexy woman , health , etc etc. The Google Money tree is all over Facebook which is pretty annoying to most users by now, obviously everyone is copying each other so the niche is pretty saturated about now. Obviously people are making money from Google Money Tree and things like E-Harmoney as you just see mass ads. I feel that people running certain offers like this should not be able to target certain keywords that have nothing to do with the offers, there are many Facebook users who are sick of seeing these irrelevant ads all over Facebook, this is also making the bids higher for people trying to target relevant people, cause they have to outbid the people who are bidding higher on the irrelevant offers.

The Google Money Tree is in no way associated with Google and appears to be something alot of people are calling a scam, because they are lured in with " Post Free Links on Google and Make 88$ an hour " then they go ahead and purchase the kit which is 6.95 for shipping and don't realize in the fine print they are being billed 72$ each month if they do not cancel in the first 10 days or something along those lines. I have seen the offer on Neverblue Ads and it appears the offer pays about 33 per cpa. Personally I would never jump in a niche like this on Facebook rite now because it seems to be kinda shady and very saturated, I went from seeing just a couple of these Ads a week ago , to seeing hundreds of these ads within days.

I think Facebook Ad platform is great for offers that are like email submit leads which you get paid lower per cpa but with that they convert really well as typically the users just has to submit some information and their email free in regards to something they are intrested in or something free. If your looking for some offers like this to run I would suggest you sign up for NeverBlue Ads as they have tons of offers with some great Cpa's.  Pausing your ads during the day is probably a good thing to do if you are targeting U.S and Canada as you will get tons of impressions during the evenings, so you mite wanna lower your bids during the day and then raise them during the evening.

If your simply looking to Brand your business on Facebook I would suggest putting your url rite in the text ad at the bottom and try to get the lowest bids you can that are going to generate alot of impressions, this seems to be a really great benefit with Facebook Ads. I hear a lot of people complaining about low CTR% with Facebook compared to Google Ppc and stuff , well I hate to break it to you but you can not compare the two platforms because on Google people are actually seeking your keywords out while on Facebook people are not generally looking for information , they are browsing around looking to connect with people and view friends profiles and stuff. This is why you have to target really well and make sure your Ad pictures ,Title and Ad text really stand out and catch their attention.

Basically I would put it like this Facebook Ads rite now are like a hooker standing out on the street who has to capture her customers attention to get a sale , where Google Adwords are like the escoret in the paper who is going to get people calling for her without really advertising herself. So I think it is pretty obvious Facebook CTR will be alot lower but at the same time you have to remember you are only paying for the clicks and if you target correctly this should not matter. If your stuck thinking well with this CTR I can not even generate enough impressions to receive enough clicks to satisfy my daily budget, then what you are going to want to do is take your campaign and below the picture you have an option to create a similar campaign. So you create a bunch of similar campaigns (just change the keywords and targeting slightly) and then you will be able to have more relevant ads running which means more impressions and clicks. If you just change your demographics when creating a similar ad you will not have to wait for that ad to be approved, but if you change any part of the actual ad itself , you will have to wait until it is approved.

All in all I think Facebook has a long way to go with their Ad Platform but it is definetely a great place to brand your business and make a little money with Affiliate offers. Their approval process seems to be really easy rite now as I have only had one ad dissaproved over the last 3 days in which I have created over 15 campaigns.
