It’s always advisable to try different styles and testing out the product in real situations before purchasing a production quantity to make sure that your packaging contains all the features that you need.

The best catalog descriptions in the world are no substitute for testing out the product. You can test your products using varying thicknesses of plastic corrugated. There is a wide variety of plastic corrugated thicknesses to choose from, ranging from 2mm to 13mm. you can save money by using thinner material. Because of advances in film structure the strength of the plastic can be increased while reducing the thickness.

You can check to see if your supplier has sheets of stock material available which can be used in the production of your packaging. This will result in a quicker lead time and will save your costs.

You can consider using custom run sheet sizes, instead of using a stock sheet of plastic corrugated which is then die cut to your container size. Custom run sheet sizes will be more efficient for your supplier to run which will result in a lower price per container.

Applying a printed label instead of direct printing on plastic corrugated will cost less, last longer, and look just as nice. You can evaluate the cost of running a small production run using sample making equipment. This will save you time and money. Having plastic corrugated dividers rod locked saves money. This is so because dividers made this way are more stable and last longer. They don’t come apart, which happens so often with paper corrugated partitions.

Plastic corrugated is generally non abrasive but there are some products that are susceptible to scratching. So it’s prudent to test plastic corrugated against your product to make sure it doesn’t scratch.

It’s preferable to use plastic corrugated lined with a non abrasive coating to protect products from being scratched. This saves money by not having to replace products that arrive in unacceptable condition.
