I'm just putting it out there. There are a great many very "gifted" performing artists out there, even in the most remote corners of the planet, who deserve their opportunity opportunity to shine and be recognized. Superstarcase promises to give them that opportunity. Never before has there ever existed anything like this. We ask your indulgence and very active participation. Superstarcase and its triumvirate of equally important m relative entities has been in intensive development for more than 11 years. Before there was an "Idol", "America's Got...", and a "So You Think...", Superstarcase was laying the foundation to make equal the opportunities for exposure, recognition and proliferation of "world" talent careers, equally for potential superstars from anywhere on Earth. Driven not by greed or lust for self recognition, producer/writer Kenny Beck's motivations are very simple. A belief that "talent", no matter what its form, should be lauded, recognized and revered, that's his belief. He doesn't believe that artists should , no matter their prowess or lack there of, be displayed before the public for ridicule or laughter. "It's difficult enough, to stand before the unrelenting eye's of an audience", says Beck. Rather, he is of the thought that to nurture and praise is a much more effective tool for motivating talent to attain their highest goals. As a matter of information, he presents this: Many years ago, after just moving to Boston and getting a job at the locally hot W-I-L-D radio station, Beck had the occasion to befriend both Maurice Starr and his brother Michael Jonzun. This dynamic pair are responsible for the careers and a string of hit songs, most noticeably by the New Edition (Bobby Brown, Michael Bivins...) and NKOTB (New Kids on the Block, Donnie Wahlberg (brother of Hollywood A-list actor Mark Wahlberg, Jordan Marsh...). Michael Jonzun, Maurice Starr (affectionately known as "the General") and many of the members of their family are prolific musicians who play a wide assortment of instruments well. They and their uniquely innovative at the time, Boston showcase for local talent ( the Hollywood Talent Night), was a major inspiration to create equal opportunity for artists all around the globe. Coupled with the fact that Beck himself is a multi-talented individual himself with a serious propensity for talent marketing and promotion. Actually, super publicist Horace Greely Mc Nabb Jr. enlisted Beck as the Urban Promotions Director of his efforts to promote a new, slated for Broadway, doing it's national tour play. Hollywood blockbuster "Dreams Girl's", choreographed by Michael Bennett (A Chorus Line), was that play and it starred, at the time, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Obbah Babatunde and the incomparable Jennifer Holiday. Incomparable until another incomparable came along by the name of Jennifer Hudson, who had an exceeding successful jaunt with the mega film version. Since the play was so wildly successful in Boston after debuting there, it immediately went straight to Broadway, eschewing the need for any more "openings" and the rest, shall we say, is show business history. Gee, that is some role! Two major stars were made from it. Wow...
